- The design of the new bridge will aim to reduce the bridge’s visual impact through the use of light and well-proportioned elements, to the scale of the site. It will be in proportion to existing vertical limits of other structures in the Capital. The figure below illustrates various locations and heights of major landmarks in the landscape of the nation’s capital. The cross-sections provide a way of visualizing reference points, as well as the general area involved.
