This is your chance to get a sneak peek at many of our biggest plans for the Capital, including the Kìwekì Point redevelopment, the future of Confederation Boulevard, and the renewal of the core area.

About the activity

Wheelchair accessible for most of the outdoor and indoor activities. However, parts of the walking tour are on cobblestone streets, which could be uncomfortable for wheelchair users.

Some activities are best suited for people over 12 years of age. Contact us if you have any questions about accessibility.

Pants and closed toe footwear are mandatory to access the site. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Drop in at any time between 10 am and 3 pm.

Meeting point

In Major’s Hill Park, located in downtown Ottawa, a few steps away from the ByWard Market and the National Gallery of Canada. Main tent is next to the Tavern on the Hill site.

  • Car access: There is free street parking nearby, as well as paid parking at the National Arts Centre, at City Hall and in nearby municipal lots.
  • Cycling and pedestrian access: The site is accessible by active mobility. Unsupervised bicycle racks are available on the streets.
  • Public transit: Major transit companies in the National Capital Region offer routes that stop near the site. Use their travel planners to get there by bus.

Good to know

There are public washrooms at Major’s Hill Park. Bring your own water bottle.

From Major’s Hill Park, hop on the free chartered buses, offered by Lady Dive, to LeBreton Flats, the NCC River House, or take one of the two free boat tours of the canal, offered by Ekeau.
