Trail 31 is located in the southwest sector of the Greenbelt, in the Pinhey Forest area. The trail forms a series of three interconnected loops that wind through an open red pine forest, interspersed with patches of natural oak and trembling aspen.
From spring until fall, Trail 31 is one of the Greenbelt’s most accessible trails. It starts at parking lot P14, behind the Nepean Sportsplex, where the washrooms are located, and follows a mostly flat, stone-dust, gravel and soil path.
While there are no benches along this route, some older exercise stations could provide rest areas.
