There will be a partial closure of the Mackenzie King Estate parking lot (P6) as part of the Parkways welcome infrastructure project. This closure will impact both the access and the capacity of the parking lot. The most efficient way to visit the Mackenzie King Estate is by hopping on the Gatineau Park free shuttle daily, except for Wednesdays.

- Impact on motorists:
- Parking capacity will be reduced during the construction period.
- Access to P6 via Barnes Road will not be available for the duration of the work.
- The exit from the parking lot to the Champlain Parkway will operate under alternating traffic conditions.
- Vehicle access until September 18, 2026
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: P6 is accessible with the shuttle only
- Wednesdays: P6 is accessible by car only via the parkways, from 8 am to dusk
- Weekends: P6 is accessible by the shuttle (from 9:10 am) or by car (from noon to dusk)
- Vehicle access from September 19 until October 2, 2026
