Meech Lake is the closest Gatineau Park lake to the city. It features two beaches (O’Brien and Blanchet) and a launch for non-motorized boats, and is a great starting point for hiking.
Beaches
All Gatineau Park beaches are supervised by lifeguards from 10 am to 6 pm, during the swimming season (June 14 to September 2, 2024). During the swimming season, beaches are tested every two weeks for bacteriological water quality. Check out the state of the beaches before travelling.
