The NCC River House is a century-old heritage building that is universally accessible year-round. The house is located on the Ottawa River along the Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway.

About the activities
Senior: Big Canoe tour
Experience the Ottawa River from a unique perspective aboard a Rabaska canoe, guided by a Paddle Canada-certified leader. This tour is offered by ONEC. Visit the registration website for details. Registration is required.

Kiosks and other activities
Drop in at any time between 10 am and 3 pm
- Ottawa New Edinburgh Club: Tour the watersports room, discover rowing equipment and racing shells, and view the sailboats on display.
- Ottawa Riverkeeper Learning Lab: Enjoy free, hands-on activities and interactive workshops for visitors of all ages on the lower floor of the NCC River House.
- Escape Tours: From noon to 6 pm, rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard (SUP) and set out to explore the Ottawa River at your own pace.

The NCC River House has been updated with several universally accessible features, including:
- elevator access to all three levels
- universally accessible pathways to the docks
- accessible washrooms
- accessible change rooms
- lift for the swim area
There are two universally accessible parking spaces available in P3, located 160 m from the NCC River House. There is also a drop-off lane along the parkway for universally accessible access, approximately 80 m from the building. Due to the site’s unique location on the Ottawa River, the drop-off lane is the shortest universally accessible route. There is no parking in the drop-off lane.
