The site does not meet universal accessibility standards, as stair access is required for both the platform and the dock.

- Cycling and pedestrian access: Located along the Capital Pathway network; bike racks are available.
- Public transit: Major transit providers in the National Capital Region offer routes that stop near the site. Use their travel planners to find the best bus route (OC Transpo or STO).
- Vehicle access: Paid parking is available on Pioneer Road, at the National Gallery of Canada, and on nearby streets. Accessible parking is available at the National Gallery of Canada.

This unique new waterfront experience features shoreline seating areas and a new viewing platform overlooking the river. The site includes an unsupervised deep-water swimming area as well as a 25-metre lap lane for recreational and fitness swimming.

Light snacks and drinks can be purchased near the dock daily from 11 am to 9 pm
