News Release
Tuesday, February 25, 2025
The NCC announces that Summer 2025 camping reservations for Gatineau Park will open on March 15 at 9 am (EDT). More than 60 sites will be available.
The 33 canoe-camping sites in the La Pêche Lake sector will once again be available, and after a two-year closure due to rehabilitation work, 30 campsites and two yurts will be available in the Taylor Lake sector. Two group sites and one shelter will also be available in the Renaud Lake sector. Campsites can be reserved as of May 16. As in previous summers, the public will have access to swimming at the Breton and Parent beaches, as well as to the boat launch.
Our project team will make every effort to open more sites for reservation as soon as work is completed during the Summer 2025 season. This includes approximately 20 sites in the Renaud Loop sector, three of which are ready-to-camp units.
The work under way will result in significant improvements to universal accessibility and the addition of modern ready-to-camp units, as well as an amphitheater, kitchen shelter and multi-use pavilion. The project will also reduce the campground’s environmental footprint through upgrades to its sanitation, water treatment and electrical systems.
The Philippe Lake campground is scheduled to fully reopen in summer 2026.
