About Summer Zone
From July to September, the Summer Zone, presented by NCC Weekend Bikedays, will transform Queen Elizabeth Driveway into a lively, car-free space available 24 hours a day.
- Location: Queen Elizabeth Driveway, from Somerset Street to Catherine Street (1 km)
- Dates: July 1 to September 2, 2024
- Times: Daily, with activities and staff onsite from 8 am to 8 pm (possible extension to 9 pm)
About the animation
The NCC is looking for partners and community members to help animate the space.
Community members, non-profit organizations and businesses can apply. Please fill out the form at the bottom of the page.
The Summer Zone focuses on the following themes:
- Play (e.g. sports, games, health and wellness, family)
- Culture (e.g. drawing classes, art fairs, live music)
- Nature (e.g. environment, nature, wildlife)
However, the NCC is open to applications outside of these themes.
All activities must:
- Be free to the public (no sales on site except for food operators)
- Be managed by the applicant (including supervision and crowd control)
- Be available in both official languages, English and French, equally (staff and signage)
- Follow public health directives
- Respect site capacity
