Sylvie Lalonde joined the National Capital Commission (NCC) in December 2007 as principal regional planner. Her accomplishments include project management for the review of the Greenbelt Master Plan and the reimagining of the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway lands as a scenic and recreational riverfront park along the Ottawa River. Sylvie’s strong background in rural and regional planning has enabled her to work on policy planning dealing with agriculture, forestry, wetlands and other rural matters. Sylvie Lalonde holds a master’s degree in Geography from the University of Ottawa, with an interest in remote sensing and rural planning.
