Lou Ragagnin is an experienced senior executive with a track record of delivering outstanding results in diverse situations and industries. As the senior vice-president of Operations at CPA Canada, he is responsible for providing strategic direction and cultivating organizational effectiveness. Lou has direct oversight of all operations, including IT, HR, Language Services, Office Services, Finance and Legal. In addition, he oversees all strategic planning for the organization. Prior to joining CPA Canada, Lou was chief operating officer at ole Media Management GP LP, president and chief operating officer for the 100th Grey Cup Festival, and the chief operating officer for the Canadian Olympic Committee. He also has held senior executive leadership positions with the legal and real estate industries. Lou began his career with KPMG, LLP in the audit and tax services area, where he also spent some time within the marketing department at the national level. Lou also sits on the board of directors at ParticipAction, serving as chair of its audit committee, and is a member of the board of directors at the Canadian Sport Institute – Ontario, where he is also the treasurer, and chair of the finance and audit committee. Lou is a chartered professional accountant (CPA, CA) and has an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
