Kelly McRae currently serves as the acting Senior Manager of Partnerships and Engagement with the National Capital Commission, which includes the NCC’s commitment to Indigenous engagement. She is a professional planner with over a decade of experience working in environmental planning, land-use policy and outreach. She is committed to supporting discussions around best practices related to planning work with Indigenous communities and the promotion of reconciliation within the planning profession. Her notable projects include the Capital Pathway Strategic Plan, the Official Residences Planning Framework, the National Interest Land Mass, and the Sir George-Étienne Cartier Park Plan. She has a specialization from the Indigenous Planning Studio and a master’s degree in City Planning from the University of Manitoba.
