Public transit

Major transit companies in the National Capital Region offer routes that pass near the Park.

Use their travel planners to get there by bus:

Good to know

  • Bicycles: Most buses are equipped with a bike rack during the summer; first-come, first-served.
  • Skis: Cross-country skis and poles are permitted on board STO buses outside of rush hour, i.e. between 9 am and 3 pm and after 6 pm from Monday to Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday. They must be properly attached or held together and carried in a safe manner.
  • Strollers: Strollers are allowed on board STO buses.
  • Dogs: According to STO policy, only guide dogs and service dogs are allowed on board STO buses. In Gatineau Park, dogs must be on a leash at all times, and are not allowed on the Pink Lake or King Mountain trails, or in picnic areas in the summer, and on cross-country ski, snowshoe and snow biking trails in the winter.
