Calling all users, residents and visitors! It’s time to share your feedback on the proposed Westboro Beach pavilion and landscape design. Learn more about the project, and complete our online questionnaire from December 18, 2020, to January 18, 2021.
Westboro Beach is a key hub on the south shore of the Ottawa River. As part of the Ottawa River South Shore Riverfront Park Plan, it represents a major milestone in an ambitious and collaborative effort to revitalize a 9-km stretch of the Capital’s shoreline, and reconnect people and communities to the river.
One of this project’s main components is to develop a new pavilion that will complement existing heritage buildings, while offering new amenities and services to users. During the most recent phase of public consultation in summer 2019, participants voiced their ideas and concerns in relation to proposed design improvements at Westboro Beach.
Drawing on the rich and diverse feedback provided by hundreds of participants, we’ve developed a design for the pavilion and landscape that aims to create a more vibrant, active area that will improve the quality of life of residents, and enhance the experience of visitors to the nation’s capital.
