Curious about the latest developments at LeBreton Flats? Fascinated by the Mer Bleue bog? Interested in exploring Indigenous arts and crafts? Join the National Capital Commission (NCC) on Saturday, September 14, for Open NCC, an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the daily operations and major projects under way in the National Capital Region.

From 10 am to 3 pm, Open NCC will offer a variety of free and accessible activities, perfect for all ages. Walking and cycling tours, drop-in kiosks, and engaging presentations will take place at ten stunning locations throughout the National Capital Region, including Major’s Hill Park, the Voyageurs Pathway, Gatineau Park, and the Pinhey Sand Dunes.

While you’re out, take in the scenery at the NCC’s urban parks or along the Capital’s spectacular shorelines. Grab a bite to eat or a refreshing drink at one of the many NCC’s bistros and taverns.

Registration is required for some activities, including exclusive tours of the Westboro Beach and Kìwekì Point project sites.

“Every day, the dedicated experts of the NCC work to build an inspiring Capital that is a source of pride for all Canadians. We look forward to sharing with you the impactful work we do to protect our region’s flora and fauna, honour our rich heritage, and plan for the future of our downtown core to the benefit of our local communities and visitors alike.”
