Volunteer responsibilities vary depending on the activity. Tasks may include setting up the site, greeting and checking in participants, and distributing beverages, snacks, materials and equipment. Volunteers may also help present information, guide participants and ensure their safety.

Commitment and schedule
Friends of Gatineau Park activities happen year-round and take place in daytime and in the evening, on weekdays and weekends.
Volunteers are typically needed for three-hour shifts.
The Friends of Gatineau Park runs a snowshoeing program that needs volunteers. This program operates on Friday evenings, from January to spring, depending on weather.

Requirements
- Be 16 years of age or older
- Have a means of travelling to and from Gatineau Park
- Be able to obtain a security clearance (reliability status)
Assets
- Facilitation skills
- Familiarity with Gatineau Park’s mandate
- Knowledge of Gatineau Park, especially its flora and fauna
