There will be intermittent closures of sections along the Leamy Lake pathways until June 2024, due to work being done to protect the natural habitats along the shoreline.
The closures are required for slope and shoreline stabilization, trail protection, paving work and repairs of a pedestrian bridge.
The schedule may change based on weather conditions and work progress.
Please exercise caution and obey signage.
Phase 1: April 11 to late May 2024
- Location: Trail section on the east side of the lake (beach area), from the pedestrian bridge over the Leamy Lake channel to a few metres north of the Leamy Lake Pavilion.
- Impact: Detour on trails on west side of the lake (opposite beach side) or on the east side, via the trail alongside Leamy Creek or the Leamy Lake Parkway.
Phase 2: April 26 to May 17, 2024
- Location: Trail section on east side of the lake (beach area), from a few metres south of the NCC Leamy Lake parking lot to few metres south of the intersection of the trail alongside Leamy Creek and Leamy Lake Parkway.
- Impact: Detour on trails on west side of the lake (opposite beach side).
Phase 3: May 1 to June 15, 2024
- Location: Trail section on the west side of the lake (opposite beach side) between the Centre de plein air du Lac-Leamy and the intersection west of the pedestrian bridge closer to the Casino du Lac-Leamy.
- Impact: Detour on the east side, on the trail alongside Leamy Creek or the Leamy Lake Parkway.
