Laura Mueller is the Chief of Development Implementation (and former Chief of Planning and Engagement for the Building LeBreton project) with the National Capital Commission. Building on her past career as a journalist and her experience working in municipal politics, Laura understands the importance of communicating and engaging people in the process of designing inclusive, sustainable, and active-mobility-focused communities. Laura oversaw development of the 2021 LeBreton Flats Master Concept Plan, which included large-scale public consultations. She now facilitates implementation of the plan, which will bring a 29-hectare brownfield site minutes from Parliament Hill back to life. She has a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University and participated in Planning the Cycling City, a University of Amsterdam program.
