Groomer

Help us name the five grooming machines behind one of the largest and best maintained networks of cross-country ski trails in North America. You’ll get to follow their journeys on our interactive map, thanks to their brand-new GPS trackers, a system we will be testing this winter.

The winning names will be featured on the Gatineau Park cross-country ski trails interactive map. This initiative is just for fun — there's nothing to win, other than bragging rights!

Submit your creative ideas, come back to vote, and stay tuned as we unveil the five winning names on Friday, December 20, 2024.

Grooming in Gatineau Park

  • Maintaining the ski trails is an art, and grooming machines (and their operators) play a key role. Learn more about the work of our maintenance team on our blog.
  • Walking on the ski trails makes the surface uneven and hardens the trail base, destroying the hard work of our teams. When hiking, please stick to the designated winter hiking trails.
  • There is a fee to access the cross-country ski trails in Gatineau Park. Purchase a daily pass or save with a season pass.
