Patterson Creek Skating Area
The Patterson Creek skating area will be closed for the 2025-2026 skating season due to the rehabilitation of the Patterson Creek bridge.
The Rideau Canal Skateway extends from downtown Ottawa to the Hartwells Locks, including Dow’s Lake. From one end to the other, there are about 30 staircases and 5 universal access ramps leading to the skating rink.
Light rail transit (O-Train) stations and parking areas are located near the Skateway entrances.
Reminder: The Rideau Canal Skateway is weather dependent. Make sure the entrance you choose leads to an open stretch of the Skateway.
