Nelson is a senior project manager in rights-of-way, heritage and urban design at the City of Ottawa, with more than 35 years of experience in the Capital Region. Nelson builds upon his studies at the University of Guelph (landscape architecture) and McGill University (urban planning) to specialize in urban design, transportation planning, community planning and greenspace systems. Nelson enjoys travel and seems to take too many photos of urban design ideas and streetscape detail. At home, he can often be seen walking his Scottish terrier, Piper.
