Bate Island Park is on the Ottawa River, west of downtown. For years, people have enjoyed its beautiful sunsets and sunrises, and come here as a way to escape the city. It offers picturesque views of the river and provides an access point to the water.
Bate Island Park features picnic areas and river access points for the public. Its shoreline is home to many local aquatic species and is an important migratory stop-over for waterfowl and waterbirds.
