The NCC has established a public advisory group as part of its public engagement approach for the National Capital Greenbelt Master Plan Review. The group will communicate with the NCC planning team and the broader community for the duration of the review.
The group’s role is to ensure that a wide range of perspectives, community interests and stakeholder needs are not only represented, but also meaningfully considered at every stage of the review. Group members will also share information with their respective organizations and communities.
The group is composed of individuals with diverse backgrounds and expertise, united by a shared interest in the future of the National Capital Greenbelt.

April 2026: First group meeting
Members were introduced to the review framework, early objectives and proposed engagement plan. They provided feedback on the community engagement approach and contributed ideas for future engagement activities.
May 2026: Second group meeting
Members were introduced to the draft vision and guiding principles and received a preview of the consultation materials for the public engagement phase. They provided feedback on the materials shared, which informed revisions.
