National Capital Region — The National Capital Commission (NCC) is inviting development partners, distinctive businesses, cultural organizations and destination operators to express interest in shaping the future Aqueduct District at LeBreton Flats, located immediately adjacent to the site of the planned Major Events Centre and future home of the National Hockey League Ottawa Senators.
The Aqueduct District will become one of the Capital’s most vibrant cultural and entertainment destinations, building on the site’s rich heritage landscape to create a dynamic mix of experiences, attractions, housing and offices, all set within iconic public spaces. The district is at the heart of the NCC’s vision for a new master-planned community that will be home to 11,000 residents, alongside major cultural, recreational and destination amenities.
The NCC is seeking expressions of interest from both experienced development teams, as well as businesses, hospitality operators, attractions and cultural organizations wishing to establish a presence within the Aqueduct District.
The goal is to identify partners who share the NCC’s vision of creating compelling experiences in a distinctive destination, steps from Ottawa’s light-rail transit system and a future major events centre.
For more information, visit the NCC website. Submissions for the Expression of Interest process are open until December 16, 2026.
