The NCC is excited to announce that Open NCC is taking place this Saturday, September 13, from 10 am to 3 pm. Back for a fourth year, this popular, free event offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at our major projects and operations at numerous sites across the National Capital Region, guided by our expert and knowledgeable staff.
Open NCC features free and accessible activities for all ages, including walking and cycling tours, a boat cruise, drop-in kiosks, a flower workshop and engaging presentations. Activities are taking place at nine stunning locations, including Major’s Hill Park, Westboro Beach, Gatineau Park, Kìwekì Point and Rideau Hall. Registration is required for some activities where spaces are limited. Please visit the NCC website for more information.
Light up the night at BikeNight!
BikeNight, new this year to Open NCC, starts at 7:30 pm. This all-ages activity features a first-ever bike parade along the canal with a live DJ and refreshments starting from the NCC Bistro at Confederation Park. Costumes and sparkles strongly encouraged!
