BikeNight at Confederation Park

This location features a nighttime bike ride along the Queen Elizabeth Driveway and Colonel By Drive. Inspired by Montreal’s popular Tour La Nuit event, this special ride welcomes cyclists of all ages and experience levels.

The ride covers 10.8 km per loop on a one-direction route, and participants can complete as many or as few loops as they like. Participation requires bicycles.

Participants are asked to wear a helmet, reflective gear and as many lights as they want. They are also encouraged to come dressed up to show off their style! Group pictures will be taken at the starting line. 

This activity is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Please note: this is a biking event. E-scooters are not permitted during the event. Motorized and non-motorized mobility aids are welcome.

The animated patio at Confederation Park, operated by SIPYARD and food by Mezze, will be open.

Night Bike Ride

• Ride begins at 7:30 pm. Roads remain closed until 9:30 pm.
• Meeting point: Confederation Park, or join the BikeNight circuit

• Mats will be added to certain parts of the park to improve accessibility, but the majority of the park site is grass.
• Adaptive bikes and other mobility aids are welcomed and encouraged.

Confederation Park is located at the corner of Elgin Street and Laurier Avenue in Ottawa. Participants may also join in at any point along the BikeNight circuit.

• Cycling and pedestrian access: The site is accessible by active mobility. Bike racks are available onsite.
• Public transit: Major transit providers in the National Capital Region offer routes that stop near the site. Use their travel planners to find the best bus route (OC Transpo or STO).
• Car access: Paid parking is available at Ottawa City Hall and the National Arts Centre. Additional parking is available on nearby streets.

Portable washrooms are available at Confederation Park.
