- Washrooms: May to mid-October (weather permitting). Open 9 am to dusk (no later than 9 pm), daily
- Parking: May to December 1 (weather permitting). Free parking is available at the park. 7 am to dusk (no later than 10 pm), daily. Limited parking time must be respected.
- Picnic areas: There are picnic tables.
- Café: Closed for the season.
Access to the park: The site opens in early May and closes December 1 (weather permitting).
Hog’s Back Park History
Hog’s Back Park was developed in the 1950s, and it occupies an area of over 20.8 hectares. During the construction of the Rideau Canal (1826–1832), one of the most challenging dam-building projects took place at Hog’s Back.
