Canada’s Capital Region — The winter season will soon be here, and the National Capital Commission (NCC) is continuing to offer healthy and safe activities during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Starting today, outdoor enthusiasts can create an account that will enable them to reserve starting on Monday, November 23, at 9 am, for a ready-to-camp unit or winter campsite through the NCC’s updated reservation platform. The period for winter overnight stays begins on December 1. Again this year, users can enjoy a reduced rate for most stays at a ready-to-camp unit between Sundays and Thursdays. Three cabins, four yurts and six 4-season tents, as well as winter campsites are available for reservation.
Measures have been established to ensure that public health guidelines are followed during stays in Gatineau Park. In particular, only the residents of the same household can share a ready-to-camp unit or campsite, and group campsites will not be available.
The NCC will continue working with public health authorities to ensure that the most effective health and safety measures are in effect as winter approaches.
Reminder: Season pass pre-sale
The pre-sale of season passes for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snow biking continues until Sunday, November 22, 2020, at midnight. We are asking users to purchase their winter season passes on the NCC website.
