The NCC Board of Directors approved the Ottawa Hospital’s new Civic development schematic design for the parking garage and roof park.

The Board noted that the next Developed Design proposal must:

  • continue to show positive urban integration and compatibility with its setting;
  • minimize tree removals and extensive replanting; and
  • enhance pedestrian and cycling connectivity within and through the site.

Slated to open in 2028, the new hospital envisions a world-class sustainable healthcare facility that will be amongst the largest and most advanced in Canada.
