As part of its commitment to seek innovative projects that would animate the Capital’s shorelines, waterways and urban parks, the NCC hopes to offer an entirely new placemaking experience through its NCC Bistro pilot project.
Patterson Creek Park has been selected as one of three NCC urban parks for a pilot project that will offer residents and visitors a unique opportunity to enjoy the beauty of some of the Capital’s iconic outdoor locations.
The self-contained, portable and intimate outdoor bistros will offer food and beverage services in the summer months, via local vendors. The design provides the flexibility to move the units to other sites in the future, with minimal impact, installation and setup. The sites will be evaluated after the three-month pilot period in 2019.
During this open house:
- NCC staff will provide information about the pilot project, and answer questions.
- Neighbours will be able to share their comments and ideas.
- NCC staff will use the feedback to make adjustments to the project, and will include community comments in the evaluation of the pilot project.
