A section of the Rideau River Eastern Pathway from the Trillium rail line to Bronson Avenue, will be closed, from Monday, February 22 to June 30, and from September 1 to December 31. The closure will allow crews to start the work on the Rideau River Pedestrian Bridge and the Rideau River Rail Bridge as part of the Stage 2 O-Train South Extension Project.
Pedestrians and cyclists should watch for signage installed near MUP. Pedestrians and cyclists should also use the detour as per the signage.
Please note that the MUP will be open with flaggers for a short duration during the months of July and August. Please also note that Vincent Massey Park will remain open, and access to the park will be maintained from Heron Road.
The National Capital Commission (NCC) and the City of Ottawa urge cyclists and pedestrians to exercise caution, respect work crews and equipment, and obey flag persons and signage at the site.
