Partial closures due to the fireworks, on Wednesdays and Saturdays from July 29 to August 15, 2026

The following closures are scheduled due to the event "Les Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy".

Voyageurs Pathway

• Schedule: From 5 pm to 10 pm on July 29 and August 1, 5, 12 and 15 , 2026.
• Location: Between Alexandra Bridge and Portage Bridge, including entry points to the pathway via Laurier Street.
• Impact on pedestrians and cyclists: Please take alternate routes.

Ottawa River Pathway

• Schedule: From 7 pm to 10 pm on  July 29 and August 1, 5, 12 and 15 , 2026.
• Location:
  • Between Alexandra Bridge and the locks, including the section of the pathway along the Rideau Canal locks from Wellington Street.
  • Between the locks to Major's Hill Park.
• Impact on pedestrians and cyclists: Please take alternate routes.

Recreational Docks 

• Canadian Museum of History Dock: From 5 pm. It will reopen according to schedule the following day.
• East Wharf Dock: From 7 pm. It will reopen according to schedule the following day. 

Vehicles and pedestrians will not be permitted to stop on Portage Bridge to watch the fireworks.
