The National Capital Commission (NCC) will be undertaking maintenance work to improve the ecological health of the natural areas along the Sir George-Etienne Cartier Parkway, starting on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., until the end of the summer.
The first phase of this work will be done mostly around and close to the RCMP Musical Ride complex. The work will include the removal of dead Ash, Elm and dead trees. There are currently no plans for replanting in this area.
This work may require temporary pathway closures. Signage will be in place, and staff will be on-site.
Dead trees and debris will be managed on-site. Other mature trees and young native trees in the area will be untouched.
The National Capital Commission urges pathway users to exercise caution, respect working crews and equipment, and obey signage and flag persons on-site.
