The Gatineau Parkway, the Champlain Parkway and the Fortune Lake Parkway in Gatineau Park are closed to motor vehicle traffic until noon, seven days a week, until Sunday, October 25, 2020.
On October 25, 2020, at about 6 pm, these parkways will close to motor vehicle traffic for the season. In winter, they become cross-country ski trails.
These closures will allow park users the opportunity to get outdoors to exercise and get some fresh air while practising safe physical distancing. Barricades are in place to help ensure the safety of users.
The parkways should be used as the NCC’s multi-use pathways are used, with the yellow centre line delineating direction; keep your right. Remember to avoid riding in groups and to share the road with pedestrians. Cyclist are required to keep a distance of 2 meters from others and ride in single file.
Below are maps that identify the areas where certain activities are allowed, and whether or not you will have to share the road with others users. Use of the parkways differs between weekdays and weekends, as well as before and after noon.
