A section on the Ottawa River Pathway, between Burland Street and Maplehurst Avenue, will be closed from November 11th, 2019 to March 2020 to allow the rehabilitation of the Britannia Pathway Wall.
The Britannia pathway wall is at the end of its life cycle and was also damaged in the 2017 and 2019 floods. The National Capital Commission (NCC) is undertaking rehabilitation work on sections of the wall to restore functionality.
This section of the Ottawa River Pathway will be closed for the duration of the work. A detour will be in place for pathway users. Users must comply with the flag persons’ directions, and proceed along designated detours.
Work will be undertaken Monday to Friday, between 7 am and 6 pm.
The NCC urges pathway users to exercise caution, respect working crews and equipment, and obey signage and flag persons on-site.
