Enjoy a walk through a magnificent snowy forest in a conservation area just minutes from downtown Ottawa–Gatineau. You will find 60 kilometres of snowshoe trails, varying in difficulty (rated from easy to difficult). Bring your own snowshoes, or rent ours!

  • 4 starting points accessible via public transit: parking lots P1 and P2 via STO buses (daily), and parking lot P17 and the Visitor Centre via Transcollines (weekdays)
  • Day shelters, each equipped with a wood-burning stove, picnic tables and outhouses
  • Rest areas with fire pits and benches
  • Ready-to-camp units and campsites available to rent for overnight stays
  • Snowshoe rental available at the Visitor Centre (adult and child sizes)

Snowshoe Rental

Snowshoes can be rented at the Gatineau Park Visitor Centre in Chelsea.

  • Monday to Friday, 9 am to 2:30 pm (last rental); must be returned by 3:30 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday, 9 am to 3:30 pm (last rental); must be returned by 4:30 pm
