Partial lane closures on the Portage Bridge to continue until July 6

Canada’s Capital Region – Starting at the Portage Bridge and the Wellington Street intersection, small sections of the Portage Bridge northbound lane for high-occupancy vehicles (HOV) as well as the Bridge’s southbound left lane will continue to be partially closed until Friday, July 6, 2018, off-peak hours, from 9 am to 3 pm, to remove and refurbish streetlights.

The closures, which are occurring occasionally Monday to Friday, will be on a 50-metre section at a time. When crews are working along the northbound HOV lane, the bidirectional cycle track will also be closed in the same section. All other lanes of the Portage Bridge in both directions will remain open at all times during the work.

The National Capital Commission urges motorists, cyclists and pedestrians to exercise caution, respect working crews and equipment, and obey signage and flag persons on-site.
