Status of the situation following the storm of September 21, 2018

The NCC is still evaluating damages to its assets and maintenance teams are securing the premises following the storm of September 21, 2018.

Ontario Urban Lands

All pathways and roadways are cleared and safe.

Greenbelt

Bruce Pit area

The following sections are closed for public safety:

  • Sections of trail 29
  • Sections of the Greenbelt Pathway to the east of Bruce Pit
  • Certain areas within the Dog Off-Leash limits of Bruce Pit

The area close to and including the parking lot remains open to the public. We ask that visitors respect the signage and fencing, and not venture out onto closed trails.

Quebec Urban Lands

Recreational trails and parks are cleared and safe.

Gatineau Park

For visitor safety, please exercise caution as many maintenance teams are still out on the trails and parkways with machinery. Thank you.

Visitor Centre

The Visitor Centre is open with regular hours (9 am to 5 pm).

Parkways

The Gatineau, Champlain, and Fortune Parkways are open.

Trails

The majority of trails are cleared and safe. Trails 18, 21 and 28 are not safe and will remain closed till further notice.

We ask that visitors respect the signage and “danger” tape, and not venture out onto closed trails.

Parking

All parking lots are open.

Camping

The campgrounds are open, as well as access to water (Philippe Lake and La Pêche Lake).

Mackenzie King Estate

Mackenzie King Estate is open with regular hours.
