On September 30th, 2017, Fall Rhapsody will be launched at the Mackenzie King Estate with Sounds of the Fall. Organized by the Association des auteurs et auteures de l’Outaouais, the event will feature authors from the region who will read poetry, stories and excerpts from literary works, in both languages. Musicians from the Orchestre symphonique de Gatineau (OSG) will also perform.
- Noon: Musical introduction (guitar and percussions)
- 12:30 pm: Tales for children read in a picnic setting
- 1:30 pm: Classical music duet presented by the OSG
- 2:15 pm: Poetry reading accompanied by music
- 2:50 pm: Classical music
- 3:30 pm: Poetry reading
Take the opportunity to enjoy a walk in the gardens, around the ruins and along the trails; visit the cottages (museums); or have a picnic. The Tearoom will be open from 11 am to 5 pm.
