Work is still ongoing to clean up part of the Greenbelt’s Bruce Pit Recreational Area, following the September 21st tornado.
63 acres of the dog-off leash area is open to the public. Fencing has been installed to maintain public safety around the small closed area while cleanup efforts continue.
Outside of the dog-off leash area, a short segment of the Greenbelt Pathway, behind Parkland Crescent and Silva Court, will be closed from December 17 to December 21, 2018. The closure will allow the safe removal of dead and storm damaged trees.
The NCC encourages Greenbelt users to seek an alternative route.
We ask that visitors obey the signage, and respect the fencing and closures during the cleanup, to ensure safety for members of the public, as well as the safety of their dogs.
