The Making of Gees Bees Honey Company

Let me take you back to 10 years ago. In the winter of 2009, my husband and I bought our first home in Dunrobin. When move-in day came that spring, we discovered a colony of honeybees living in the walls of the house. At the time, we didn’t know anything about bees. Temporary pathway closures in the Shirley’s Bay area - December 3 to 14

There will be temporary pathway closures in the western Greenbelt between Riverdown Drive and Carling Avenue in the Shirleys Bay sector, from December 3 to 14, 2018, between 7 am and 5 pm, to allow the removal of 985 ash trees affected by the emerald ash borer. Dead trees of other species may also be removed to improve access and allow for a safe work environment for the crew undertaking the work.

NCC Board of Directors approves amendment to Greenbelt Master Plan

Canada’s Capital Region—The NCC Board of Directors today approved an amendment to the Greenbelt Master Plan. Based on consultations with members of the public and stakeholders, the amendment to the plan will breathe new life into vacant buildings and an underused portion of the former Greenbelt Research Farm. It will also strengthen the Greenbelt through the implementation of renaturalization projects.
